Description
###NOTICE: For the safety of participants in the Open House Porto 2026, and due to the heat wave and extremely high temperatures, it will not be possible to open the Titan from the Porf of Leixões to the public.
The Titan is a large, century-old iron crane, the only one of its kind in the world, which had a lifting capacity of 50 tonnes of stone and enabled the construction of what is now one of the largest ports on the Iberian Peninsula and the country’s largest artificial port. It was restored in 2020/2021 and is an integral part of the history and identity of the Port of Leixões, the city of Matosinhos and Portugal’s industrial heritage.
