Volunteering
Come and take part in the 11th edition of Open House Porto on the weekend of 4 and 5 July 2026.
We are now recruiting volunteers – come and join us!
We are looking for volunteers aged 16 and over, with no upper age limit, who are interested in architecture, built heritage and the history of the cities of Maia, Matosinhos, Porto and V. N. Gaia, and who are keen to interact with the public. To ensure the success of each edition, we rely on an extraordinary team of volunteers who welcome visitors and offer useful, informed suggestions about the event.
The volunteer team will have the unique opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the programme and to interact with the organisers, the architects responsible for the spaces on the itinerary, as well as guest experts in various fields: history, heritage, culture, engineering, urban planning, etc.
We are counting on you to be available to give four or more hours over the weekend. In return, we offer an experience characterised by camaraderie, discovery and friendship.
The 11th edition of Open House Porto hopes to count on the support of an extraordinary group of over 350 volunteers, without whom this event would be impossible to stage.

O que pretendemos? • Constituir uma equipa de voluntários que durante um fim de semana, possa oferecer um olhar informado e entusiasta sobre o roteiro Open House Porto 2026, contribuindo de forma vital para a experiência de um público alargado.
Que tarefas? • Receção, acolhimento e informação ao público; • Acompanhamento das visitas comentadas pelos especialistas; • Coordenação de grupos de voluntários por zonas geográficas; • Apoio à organização e produção geral do evento.
O que oferecemos? • A oportunidade de adquirir experiência num evento de escala internacional. • Partilhar e usufruir de conhecimento privilegiado. • Ação de formação sobre o funcionamento geral do evento. • Certificação das funções desempenhadas através de emissão de documento comprovativo, agradecendo a colaboração e participação no evento. • Apólice de seguro de responsabilidade civil, nos termos da legislação em vigor. • T-shirt e credencial para identificação no evento.
