Description
| The Drawing Experience is a satellite activity aimed at the FAUP community, promoted by the Drawing Collection research line of the Architecture: Theory, Design, and History (ATPH) group at the Nuno Portas Study Center (CENP-FAUP). The initiative aims to promote and foster architectural education grounded in the practice of drawing—a defining characteristic of the so-called “Porto School”and its key figures. The Drawing Experience is part of the Caleidoscópio program, a series of free activities organized in partnership with Casa da Arquitectura during Open House Porto. Participants turn the act of drawing into a meeting point, an opportunity for interaction, and a way to create a shared memory by gifting the drawings made in situ to visitors participating in this initiative as part of the event’s tour of architectural sites. Recipients of the drawing are invited to share a digital copy and a comment on the experience via the Drawing Experienc email address ([email protected]) and on social media. The project involves the collaboration of the University of Porto Digital (UPdigital), the Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FLUP) and the Faculty of Engineering (FEUP) of the University of Porto, the Marques da Silva Foundation (FIMS), the Order of Architects – Northern Regional Section (OASRN), and Sistema do Futuro – Multimédia, Gestão e Arte.
